About BuildFavicon

BuildFavicon makes the small icons that sit in browser tabs, bookmarks and phone home screens. It is built and run by an independent web developer from Odisha, India, who also makes tools for Odia-language websites.

How the tools work

Everything happens inside your browser. When you choose an image, it is resized on your own device using the browser’s canvas, and the favicon.ico and zip file are assembled there too. Your images are never sent to a server, so the tools work quickly and privately.
